The Accessibility Research Rubric covers ease of use, ease of setup, how reputable the вЂњsource of truthвЂќ is for each tool, accuracy of feedback, clarity of feedback, strengths and limitations, and cost. We have also created a rubric in order to score each tool consistently.

WeвЂ™ve picked out what we think a вЂњrobotвЂќ should be able to find, and weвЂ™ve also listed a few issues we expect can only be identified with manual testing. This site is not related to or connected with any live content or organization. This page includes a specific number of common and uncommon accessibility issues and code defects. We built a single-page static website with HTML and CSS. To aid in standardizing our scores for each tool, we have taken a few steps. We are humans, and while we have tried to be as objective as possible in our evaluations, it is impossible to cover all potential use cases and pipelines. We may claim to be experts, but we do not claim to be perfect. We aim to help designers, developers, and team members know how each tool excels and which tool can meet your needs. This year, Sparkbox has put together a research initiative to evaluate a number of popular automated accessibility tools. However, with so many tools with different strengths, itвЂ™s hard to know which one to use. WeвЂ™re so thankful to all the folks who have worked hard to create these awesome tools. Plus, accessibility just makes good business sense.ДЄutomated accessibility testing tools are valuable resources that allow developers to continually check their work in between more exhaustive manual accessibility testing. We know by now that creating accessible web pages results in a better user experience for all people. Sparkbox has put together a research initiative to evaluate popular automated accessibility tools. A handy cleaning function would also be of great value, since Sparkbox can take up entire gigs of space after just a couple of weeks of usage.About the Accessibility Tool Reviews Series Though you can specify this by creating a Smart Folder, it should be just a click away in the preferences. The people at Icy Blaze (the developers of Sparkbox) could consider implementing an algorithm that tells the application to either ignore useless pieces of imagery like immense transparent layers measuring 980x36 pixels which really just stand in the way. Oh and, the updated version (1.0.32) fixes half a dozen bugs and optimizes the performance for importing images.

Just use the tags, the comments, or the simple Colors feature to spot it right away and put the finishing touches on your project. No longer will you let inspiration slip as you wonder around your cluttered library looking for that particular photo. With its intuitive vivid interface and hierarchical structure, Sparkbox is not only easy on the eyes, itвЂ™s easy on your creative mind. While most of these functions already speak for themselves, Web Snap deserves a little bit more attention. Those are Categories, Tags, Favorites, Colors, and my all-time-favorite Web Snap. It couldnвЂ™t be simpler!ДЄt the top of the window there are five tabs all of which will further aid organizing my photos. Its simple two pane view shows my various sources on the left - Library, Last Import, Uncategorized, Tags, and various other categories I can think of - and a preview on the right for each selected source. After all, itвЂ™s an app aimed at keeping my stuff organized. Sparkbox has quite the intuitive interface. Or, if youвЂ™re looking to get new content, just use the WebSnap feature to access any web source and import all the jpeg, png, psd, tiff, bmp, psd, and icns files you can find. Just use the import function to get your entire library inside its interface. For example, when inspiration kicks, you want to be able to rapidly access those exact images that you know are saved on your hard drive, among a million others. If youвЂ™re a designer, you can probably agree that working with images can be a real pain if you donвЂ™t have the right tools to batch-download your images, rate them, tag them, fetch them on demand, and so on.
